Replacing Flood Gates for
The Environment Agency
EAPL Southampton was approached by the Environment Agency to replace flood gates that had become worn out over time. The gates, due to prolonged use, were no longer functioning effectively.
Tasked with the full scope of the project, EAPL Southampton was responsible for the design, manufacture, galvanisation, painting, and installation of the new gates.
The team in Southampton took great pride in handling the project from start to finish, ensuring the highest standards throughout.
In addition to the new gates, EAPL also worked on the existing hinges at the site, giving them a necessary upgrade. To improve the seal and enhance water resistance, the team welded a ridge onto the foot plate, which previously lacked one, creating a tighter and more secure waterproof seal.
